Hero Hunk 200 Price in Sri Lanka

The Hunk 200R is Hero's first attempt into the 200cc market. Hero Motocorp's first foray into the premium segment in a long time. The Hunk 200R features a diamond-type chassis, Hero's first indigenous rear mono-shock, and a 150cc engine based on the Achiever.

While the engine lacks advanced technology (with a carburetor, lacks an oil cooler, and lacks fuel injection), it claims to provide excellent fuel efficiency and rideability because of its comparatively low power output of 18.2bhp and torque output of 17.1Nm. It is, however, one of the smoothest in the business, and there isn't much need to change speeds in the five-speed transmission. The Hunk is also the lightest in class, weighing 148kg, which should contribute to a high fuel efficiency number. Both the front and rear disc brakes are present, with ABS as standard at launch.

Hero Hunk 200R Review

Every two-wheeler manufacturer focuses on the high-potential 200cc cycle sector, and Hero MotoCorp has finally released its long-awaited offering, the Hunk 200R, to the market. On the other hand, the bike is based on the company's current Xtreme Sports model.

The overall dimensions of the Hunk 200R give it a well-balanced appearance. The Hunk graphics on the fuel tank contribute to the sportiness, while the style of the headlamps adds to the bike's muscularity. The 10-spoke alloy wheels draw a lot of attention as well. On the other hand, the back appears strange at first glance, but it may grow on you over time. The exhaust note of the Hunk isn't inspiring, but it's pleasant to the ears.

In tight turns and corners, the Hunk 200R feels light and nimble. It has plenty of low-end torque, so you won't have to downshift frequently while driving around town. The clutch is modest in weight. The gearshifts are not as precise compared to the competition, but you will get the hang of it eventually.

When driven gently, the NVH levels are good, and the engine isn't noisy, but it becomes loud near the redline. On the suspension front, the Hunk 200R gets a Telescopic Hydraulic type with antifriction bush upfront and a 7-step adjustable mono-shock suspension at the rear. Suspensions are tuned for a softer ride, and they do an excellent job of avoiding speed bumps and potholes. The grip from the 17-inch tires is worth appreciating.

An analog tachometer is included in the instrument cluster. While this is practical, it gives the Hunk a last-generation appearance when combined with the silver surround. However, it is not devoid of features: twin trip meters and a clock may be found in the digital section of the display. However, Hunk needs to keep up in this day and age of programmed shift lights, side stand warning signs, and top speed/lap time recorders.

On the other hand, Hero has delivered value with the Hunk 200R. It is the lightest in terms of pounds, but it's also the lightest on your wallet — it undercuts the closest displacement opponent, the Apache 200, by a few thousand rupees while also including ABS as standard.
