Honda Civic Review

The New Honda Civic is one of the most sought-after vehicles in the Sri Lankan automobile industry, with best-in-class interiors. The car includes a touch screen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as a dual-zone climate controller and dozens of other features. With LED headlamps and a distinctive Honda grille, the appearance is stunning. The Honda Civic car is equipped with a basic 2.0-liter I-4 engine that produces 158 bhp and 173.5 Nm of peak torque, whether mated with a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional CVT.

Performance

Even though the new Civic has been completely revamped, Honda has decided to retain the powertrain options from the previous generation. The base engine is a 158-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder, while the upgrade engine is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder that now produces 180 horsepower. The new Civic is only available as a front-wheel-drive vehicle. Unfortunately, the manual transmission featured on the previous generation Civic sedan has been discontinued for 2022, leaving just a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) as an option; a six-speed manual transmission is still available on the hatchback model. Our turbocharged Touring sedan took 7.5 seconds to reach 60 mph on our test track, which is somewhat slower than the result of the previous-generation Civic. Fortunately, the agile handling, communicative steering, and well-balanced ride that we loved about the previous generation model are all present and accounted for here. Sporty Si and high-performance Type-R variants are also in the works, and both will be available with a manual transmission; we have separate reviews for both cars.

Exterior

The Honda Civic's 11th generation sports a significantly more understated appearance than its predecessor. It keeps some of its angular body characteristics but has a fresh and athletic front fascia with a new set of LED or halogen headlamps and a much more defined grille. The Honda Civic continues its more athletic yet discreet style at the back with a new pair of LED taillights that give the vehicle a more streamlined appearance. The tiny car also receives new wheels for all variations and a body package for the RS model.

Interior

The interior of the Honda Civic is exquisitely built. Honda's cabins are top-notch in ergonomics, including USB, HDMI, and 12 V charging outlets. Superior features include an electronic parking brake with auto hold, a sunroof, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an electric driver seat adjuster, dual-zone climate control, and a keyless entry system. The driver receives an 8-way electrically adjustable seat with a memory feature to comfort maximum positioning. The obvious digital instrument cluster is one of the Honda Civic Facelift's main attractions. The 430-liter boot space is just about plenty for your family's weekend stuff. The Civic's cabin is quite functional, with plenty of bottle and cup holders for both front and rear seats, as well as a front armrest that can accommodate a handful of items. The 7-inch infotainment system has a reverse camera with zoom function, steering-mounted audio controls, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technology, and an 8-speaker audio system.

Safety

The Honda Civic comes standard with four airbags, with the RS variant receiving six. Other features include ABS with EBD, stability control, an emergency stop signal, hill-start assist, walk-away auto-lock, keyless entry, an immobilizer, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. Honda additionally emphasizes the Civic's G-Force Control (G-CON) body structure. Honda Civic also includes Honda SENSING to the Civic lineup, which provides the sedan with features such as adaptive cruise control. In addition, the car consists of a lane keep assist system, collision mitigation braking system, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation system, auto high beam, and lead car departure notification, to name a few.
