The Honda CR-V is an abbreviation for "Comfortable Runabout Vehicle." As the name says, the compact crossover has proven to be an excellent choice for many modern Sri Lankan families who live in the urban jungle. In the late 1990s, the Philippines witnessed the birth of what is today one of the country's most popular vehicle categories. Two decades later, the CR-V remains one of the segment's most recognizable nameplates. It now has five generations under its belt, and Honda is selling the CR-V with a diesel engine for the first time in Asia.

The CR-V is available in two models: a 7-seat diesel and 5-seat gasoline. The diesel-powered CR-V is available in three trim levels: SX Diesel 9AT AWD, S Diesel 9AT, and V Diesel 9AT. The 1.6 i-DTEC turbodiesel engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Gear Selector will power all of these. The 5-seater version, on the other hand, will be powered by a 2.0 i-VTEC gasoline engine and a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
