The new Hyundai Accent, now in its fifth generation, delivers a glimpse of the brand's latest design language in sedan packaging. The new design incorporates the brand's iconic 'Cascading Grille' and revised headlight and fog lamp forms, resulting in a more striking appearance closer to its big brother, the Elantra compact sedan. More adjustments can be found in the cabin. The dashboard of the all-new Hyundai Accent is more straightforward but curvier. The interior is accented with blue illumination, piano black, and satin chrome accents. Leather upholstery and a push-button start/stop engine are standard on higher-level models. The all-new Hyundai Accent sedan is powered by a 1.6-liter CRDi diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 1.4-liter Kappa engine produces 99 horsepower and 132 Nm of torque in the gasoline models. The gasoline engine is also available with manual and automated transmissions.
Two engines options are available to power the Hyundai Accent. The first is a 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine that produces 126 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. A naturally aspirated 1.4-liter gasoline engine is the choice. The gasoline-powered engine generates 99 horsepower and 132 Newton-meters of torque. Both engines are available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The MacPherson struts with coil springs at the front and paired torsion beam axle at the back provide suspension for the subcompact vehicle. Front ventilated disc brakes and rear drum brakes provide stopping power. A motor driver power steering unit provides steering.
