TVS is a leading Indian motorbike manufacturing company that has recently gained popularity in Sri Lanka. The key advantages of TVS products are their good-looking mileage, durability, and affordable pricing. There are numerous products available in Sri Lanka, with the 'TVS Metro' being one of the best in terms of price and mileage. There are two versions of the TVS Metro available in Sri Lanka: the 'TVS Metro ES' and the 'TVS Metro KS.' ES denotes the electric starting machine, and KS characterizes the kick-starting machine. The rest configuration is identical, but the price of the motorcycles is exceptional owing to the starting device. The 'Metro ES' price is slightly higher than the 'Metro KS' price.

TVS Metro Review

The TVS Metro 100 motorcycle recently received an electric start option. This is an excellent commuter motorcycle that you can rely on to get you from work to home. It has a powerful, smooth, and vibration-free engine, and it can also get good mileage on village streets.

The motorcycle is outfitted with a new 100cc ECO thrust engine derived from the groundbreaking TVS Phoenix Engine line. The engine regulates the flow of gasoline based on the throttle position, resulting in the best mix of mileage and power. In Bangladesh, the model is trendy. This model is being assembled in the company's BD plant for local sales. The model with this name is not available in India.

The TVS Metro scooter does not appear on the TVS website's list of motorcycles. This model seems to have been phased out of manufacturing. This could be because the model does not satisfy BS-VI requirements and, as a result of weak sales, it is not modified to meet BS-VI standards. In the meantime, it is accessible in Sri Lanka under BS-IV regulations as the TVS Metro 100.

The TVS Metro is a typical entry-level city bike well-known for its mileage. TVS has tight control over both mileage and cost in their motorcycles. On the one hand, the TVS Metro pricing is relatively modest, while its good mileage also draws purchasers. Currently, the TVS Metro is a popular bike among the Sri Lankans. Now, let's have a look at the complete TVS Metro specifications.

Design and appearance

The TVS Metro has a good appearance, a first-rate gasoline tank, and a well-formed seating position. Aside from that, the motorcycle's headlamp is also visually stunning, as are the black-colored alloy wheels. There is no external equipment installed on the bike. Thus it has an ultimately stock appearance. The motorcycle is suitable for individuals looking for a high-mileage, well-known-appearing motorcycle at a low price. Though many younger people used to ride motorcycles in Bangladesh, most of its customers are middle-aged people.

Engine performance

The motorcycle's engine is also reliable, and it will no longer let a rider down in the middle of the road. The bike has a 99.7 cc engine that can produce 5.50 kW @ 7500 rpm top power and 7.5 lb-ft max torque at 5000 rpm. The bike's bore is more significant than its torque. Except that there is a good compression ratio of 9.15:1. A standard four-speed gearbox is included in the motorcycle. In essence, better gas green generation is established for the bike, which is the most prominent feature of the TVS Metro.

Dimensions and seating

The dimensions of this 100 cc motorcycle would impress everyone, as it has a large and wide sitting function, and three men and women can ride on it. However, the bike is long enough to meet the standard length of 1990 mm, 705 mm in width, and 1080 mm in height. The motorcycle's seat height, on the other hand, is 780 mm. Furthermore, the bike features a petrol tank with 12 liters and a reserve capacity of 2 liters. The bike's curb weight is 108 kg, adequate for a 100cc motorbike. The bike is sturdy, but it is a popular class motorcycle that should no longer be ridden at peak speed. Crossing 80 kilometers per hour may be volatile, and motorcyclists may feel vibrations.

Suspension and braking

The front of the TVS Metro is supported by a telescopic hydraulic fork suspension with a stroke of 110 mm, while the rear wheel is supported by a spring-loaded hydraulic suspension with a stroke of 78 mm. The suspensions are great for stylish commuters since they can give considerable comfort to riders and pillions, except for the drum brakes on both sides of the bike, which are 110 mm in diameter. Because of the drum brakes, its control may not be as good as in Sri Lanka, where at least the front disc brake must be used. So, hopefully, the company will be able to resolve this issue in a subsequent replacement and replace the front drum brake with a hydraulic disc.

Mileage

We are now discussing the fantastic mileage of the TVS Metro, which is excellent for the significant mileage. Typically, suppose riders follow the favorable regulations. In that case, the bike will provide at least 75 km of mileage on the dual carriageway, and in the same situation, the mileage will now not be less than 65 km in cities with heavy traffic. So, the average mileage of the TVS Metro may reach 70 km, which is very encouraging.

Device panel and features

The motorcycle's device panel is entirely analog, consisting of an analog speedometer, an analog tachometer, a fuel gauge, and a few more. No additional features are visible except for the low gasoline indicator, turn lamp, and practical headlamp with a pillion grabrail.
